A race designed for compulsive ULTRA RUNNERS, who want to up their game, improve their craft and get ready for next level. The course provides the most spectacular views yet very little time to enjoy them (with strict cut offs) and a perfect training ground with constantly changing terrain. Tough, challenging and dangerous (a fall or misstep can end your run). Recommended for seasoned runners with consistent performances to back them up.

The ultimate recognition ‘Raramuri Elite’ reserved for these outstanding men and women who make the cut offs. A recognition that can only be earned not purchased.

Participation in Raramuri Elite category is open to all above the age of 18 years subject to the Eligibility Criteria given below:

• Entry to the Raramuri Elite category is only against a timing certificate.
• A timed certificate participation in an Ultra distance running event within 18 months preceding race day of the Chambal Challenge.
• Timings of only recognized Ultra Marathons (50 km and above ) will be considered to qualify for the Raramuri Elite race category.
• Scanned copy of applicable timing certificate needs to be attached along with the application.
• All runners must be compulsorily timed using the RFID technology.
• Eligibility will be subjected to the following time cut offs:

Eligibility time cut-offs for the Raramuri Elite category for men and women are given below.

Note: Please note, the acceptance of timing certificate for entry confirmation is at the sole discretion of Inshape Runners Club.

The qualification timings mentioned above will be considered only for eligibility of an applicant in the Raramuri Elite race category.

The timing results, rankings and certificates of the  Raramuri Elite race category will be generated only for runners who complete the distance within 12 hours from the start time subject to that they meet other cut offs.

NOTE: The above cut-offs have been carefully worked out and are there for the well-being of the athlete. Also the race format requires everyone to finish the run by 4:30 PM.

Should a runner not make any one of the cut-offs within the time allotted, they will then need to board the vehicle provided by the organizers to the finish. Ignoring the instructions of Route Managers and marshals will lead to disqualification.

A dedicated recovery zone at KM 59 for athletes in this category with Physio’s and refreshments. An athletes can request in advance for anything particular at this point in race and the same shall be provided to him.

Athlete’s can drop their hand baggage with the race marshal and the same can be collected back at the finish line.

In order to encourage and set up a bench mark for runners we are introducing Cash Incentive on setting a course record in Chambal Challenge 2020. Any male or female runner who set up a new course record in the 2020 edition will be rewarded in the following manner:

NOTE: The Raramuri Elite 84 KM category which is being introduced for the first time the Cash Prize will be given to the fastest male runner who complete the run below 8:00 hours and to the fastest female runner who completes the run with in 8:30 hours.

  • Top 3 places in both male and female category will be receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night.
  • All finishers under 11 hours will receive a Specially Designed “Raramuri Elite” running jacket/hoodi.

• Age Categories (Unisex)
  • Veterans (50-59)
    • Male or Female on top position will receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night
    • All finishers under 11 hours will receive a Specially Designed “Raramuri Elite” running jacket/hoodi that cannot be purchased.
  • Silvers (60-69)
    • Male or Female on top position will receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night
    • All finishers under 11 hours will receive a Specially Designed “Raramuri Elite” running jacket/hoodi that cannot be purchased.
  • Shining Silvers (70+)
    • Male or Female on top position will receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night
    • All finishers under 11 hours will receive a Specially Designed “Raramuri Elite” running jacket/hoodi that cannot be purchased.

NOTE:

1. Qualifier’s jackets will be shipped to them with in 3 weeks from the date of the event.
2. If a Veteran or higher age category participant qualifies for podium position in open category than he/she will not be considered for the age category recognition. In such case the recognition in the respective age category will go to the next person in the race standing.
3. Age shall be calculated as on the race day.
4. A valid proof of age will be required for age based qualifications.
