This category is for runners who have been through few marathons and are now looking for more not only in terms of challenge but the whole experience. The race has everything from spectacular views, wilderness, rugged terrain, distance, hills and valleys. What it doesn’t have (thankfully so) is crowd, noise and pollution of a city based marathon.

What you earn meeting the cut offs is a recognition inspired by the greatest Rajput King Maharana Pratap of Rajasthan whose defiance to the mighty Mughal empire, almost alone and unaided by the other Rajput states, constitute a glorious saga of Rajput valor and the spirit of self sacrifice for cherished principles.

This distinctive title will be a constant reminder of not giving up against great odds and will surely reflect in all walks of life.

Participation in Chambal Maharana category is open to all above the age of 18 years subject to the Eligibility Criteria given below:

• Entry to the Chambal Raramuri category is only against a timing certificate.
• A timed participation certificate from any recognized half or full marathon event within 18 months preceding race day of the Chambal Challenge.
• Timings of only recognized half marathons (21 km and above ) will be considered to qualify for the Chambal Maharana race category.
• Scanned copy of applicable timing certificate needs to be attached along with the application.
• All runners must be compulsorily timed using the RFID technology.
• Eligibility will be subjected to the following time cut offs:

Eligibility time cut-offs for the Chambal Maharana category for men and women are given below.

Note: Please note, the acceptance of timing certificate for entry confirmation is at the sole discretion of Inshape Runners Club.

The qualification timings mentioned above will be considered only for eligibility of an applicant in the Chambal Maharana race category.

The timing results, rankings and certificates of the Chamabal Maharana race category will be generated only for runners who complete the distance within 8 hours from the start time subject to that they meet other cut offs.

NOTE: The above cut-offs have been carefully worked out and are there for the well-being of the athlete.

Should a runner not make any one of the cut-offs within the time allotted, they will then need to board the vehicle provided by the organizers to the finish. Ignoring the instructions of Route Managers and marshals will lead to disqualification.

A mid course recovery zone at KM 25 for athletes in this category with Physio’s and refreshments. An athletes can request in advance for anything particular at this point in race and the same shall be provided to him.

Athlete’s can drop their hand baggage with the race marshal and the same can be collected back at the finish line.

In order to encourage and set up a bench mark for runners we are introducing Cash Incentive on setting a course record in Chambal Challenge 2020. Any male or female runner who set up a new course record in the 2020 edition will be rewarded in the following manner:

• Open Category (Male and Female from18 – 49 years)
  • Top 3 places in both male and female category will be receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night.
• Age Categories (Unisex)
  • Veterans (50-59)
    • Male or Female on top position will receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night
  • Silvers (60-69)
    • Male or Female on top position will receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night
  • Shining Silvers (70+)
    • Male or Female on top position will receive a Special Position Holder’s Plaque/Trophy in Gala Awards Night

NOTE:

1. If a Veteran or higher age category participant qualifies for podium position in open category than he/she will not be considered for the age category recognition. In such case the recognition in the respective age category will go to the next person in the race standing.
2. Age shall be calculated as on the race day.
3. A valid proof of age will be required for age based qualifications.
