We believe you can never recognize one enough who goes the way what the majority believes is insanity. The desire to do something heroic is inherent to the human soul. Running just brings it out. It is the honor of not quitting, not letting go despite enormous suffering and pain that makes a runner conquer the distance he sets his eyes to. You can’t take away the honor that’s earned, something that separates him/her from the mediocrity and commonplace.
The awards night is a celebration of the indomitable and free spirit that is within each runner. A meeting place, at a crossroad, a time to recover and rejuvenate before we go on discovering more.
